Dr. Jeanine Thomas, DO, President
Welcome to the North Texas Business and Professional Women’s League, Incorporated. The North Texas League was founded in 2003 by four awesome women whose vision and persistent work helped to facilitate our rich history.
We are part of the South Central District, one of six national districts as well as an international affairs district; under the umbrella of The National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, Incorporated.
Our Mission is to promote and protect the interests of African American business and professional women; to serve as advisors for young people seeking to enter business and the professions; to improve the quality of life in our local and global communities, and to foster good fellowship.
Our 2023-2025 Theme is:
The R.I.P.E. Perspective
Resourceful
Innovative
Passionate
Evolved
The North Texas League has worked persistently to provide the community with programs such as Domestic Violence on Lock Down; Safe Encounters, A Two-way Street; North Texas Food Bank Volunteer Efforts; Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Walk; HIV/AIDS Walk; Home Ownership Workshop; Real Estate Investment Workshop; Defining and Applying Leadership Skills, to name a few.
Our local Signature Program is The Annual “Black and White” Scholar’s Fundraiser Luncheon for Student College Scholarships. Internationally we are active in the international affairs district, participating in the commissioning of water wells, children’s clothing and shoes, school supplies, and toys throughout the Continent of Africa.
The “NOTABLE North Texas League” is known for excellent programming in Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Technology with a focus on Health, Education, Employment, and Economic Development.
